Company appoints Amber Howe to Chief People Officer and Brendan Miller to lead Amwell’s Health Plan Business
National telehealth leader, Amwell®, today announced the appointments of Amber Howe to Chief People Officer and Brendan Miller to Senior Vice President and General Manager of Health Plan Solutions, adding to the company’s seasoned leadership team. As a company that continues to experience rapid growth, Amber will lead Amwell in its ongoing commitment to cultural and operational excellence. Brendan will advance and expand Amwell’s footprint and capabilities across the payer landscape.

Amber joins Amwell from Beacon Health Options, where she served as the company’s Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer. Her accomplishments extend beyond traditional Human Resource competencies, and include achievements in areas of employee performance, training, retention, culture strength and recruiting. Amber also has held senior Human Resource positions at Santander Bank and TD Bank.
Brendan brings more than two decades of experience transforming healthcare delivery. He comes to Amwell from MultiPlan, where he served as the Senior Vice President of Sales and Account Management, and Global Head of Health Plans, Employers, Providers, TPA’s, and Worker’s Compensation. Prior to his work with MultiPlan, Brendan held roles in senior management at HealthMine, Wellness Corporate Solutions, and America’s Health Insurance Plans (AHIP), where he oversaw business development, strategic planning, sales activity and more.
