Beacon Health System now offering online telehealth visits via Beacon Connected Care

Elkhart/South Bend, Ind. (January 12, 2016) – Beacon Health System and American Well, the leading national telehealth company, announced a collaboration to make online visits an integrated part of Beacon Health System’s digital health platform. Through mobile or web, patients from the comfort of their home can connect remotely over video with board-certified doctors from Online Care Group, American Well’s nationwide medical affiliate.

With the secure Beacon Connected Care platform established by Beacon Health System’s Innovation team and powered by American Well, future uses of the technology are nearly limitless, affording numerous opportunities for more convenient, connected and coordinated care.

Urgent care will be the first telehealth service rolled out under the new partnership, and future plans may include nutrition ecounseling, remote patient monitoring, specialty consults, virtual home care and post-surgical visits.
